Where do I download Aperture?

Aperture is a free web app that runs in the Chromium browser, so no desktop download is required. Access Aperture at https://aperture.meyersound.com/

Will Aperture work on any browser?

Aperture is designed and tested for Chromium browsers.  Full functionality in other browsers is not guaranteed.  Chromium browsers include Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera, as well as Safari starting at version 26.

Are all MAPP 3D layers visible at once in Aperture?

Aperture will display only the layers that are visible in MAPP 3D when the project is saved. Hidden layers are not visible and cannot be activated in Aperture. Also note that DXFs will be loaded, but SKP will be ignored.

What files can I load in Aperture?

Aperture can import MAPP 3D or Dolby DARDT files. Aperture-specific files can be saved and loaded, including the original design files and all Aperture settings.

Will all products automatically export to EASE?

Aperture creates an .xld file for importing into EASE. Meyer Sound loudspeaker data can be downloaded separately for EASE. Note that not all products may be supported.

Are there any known issues?

In rare cases, Aperture may return different rigging results than MAPP 3D or MAPP XT. If any software indicates a failure of the Factor of Safety, do not proceed with that array configuration.
