When installing Meyer Sound loudspeakers, always observe the following precautions:
Use all Meyer Sound products in accordance with local, state, federal, and industry regulations. Owners and users must evaluate the reliability of any rigging or mounting method for their application. Rigging loudspeakers requires trained and experienced professionals.
Use mounting and rigging hardware rated to meet or exceed the suspended weight.
Make sure to attach mounting hardware to the building's structural components (studs or joists), and not just to the wall surface. Verify that the building's structure and the anchors used for the installation will safely support the total weight of the mounted loudspeakers.
Use mounting hardware appropriate for the installation surface.
Tighten bolts securely. Meyer Sound recommends using Loctite® on bolt threads and safety cables.
Inspect mounting and rigging hardware regularly. Immediately replace any worn or damaged components.
Assembly instructions
One kit with two cluster plates connects two ULTRA-X80 series loudspeakers, one plate at each end. Secure each plate with four provided fasteners: use screws with countersunk holes facing up or knurled knobs with the straight-bore side facing up.

Four centerline mounting holes accept M8 × 1.25 fasteners. Plate thickness: 0.37 in (10 mm).
Cluster plate hole selection sets loudspeaker splay angle: 25°, 32°, 40°, 50°, 60°, 70°, or 80°.

The list below shows splay angles, adjacent horn sides, and corresponding fill loudspeaker level reduction. ULTRA-X80 loudspeakers use a rotatable 95° × 40° horn; ULTRA-X82 loudspeakers use a rotatable 50° × 40° horn.
25° splay, 40° horn sides, 4 dB offset
32° splay, 40° horn sides, 2dB offset
40° splay, 40° horn sides, ULTRA-X80 or ULTRA-X82, no offset
50° splay, 50° horn sides, ULTRA-X82, no offset
60° splay, 95° horn sides, ULTRA-X80, 4dB offset
70° splay, 95° horn sides, ULTRA-X80, 2dB offset
80° splay, 95° horn sides, ULTRA-X80, 1dB offset
Suspend cluster plates with Meyer Sound MRB-T1 Rig Bars, MHR-T1 Hoist Rings, or user-provided hardware rated for overhead applications approved by a qualified engineer.
Suspend two-loudspeaker horizontal arrays with four MHR-T1 Hoist Rings secured to the four M8 loudspeaker rigging points, as shown below. For three-loudspeaker horizontal arrays, mount hoist rings to the array plate, as shown below.
The MUB-T1 U-bracket is rated to suspend only one ULTRA-X80 series loudspeaker.

For three-wide horizontal clusters, both of the top cluster plates must each be connected to a structural attachment point either via a MRB-T1 Rigging Bar (illustrated below), at least one MHR-T1 Hoist Ring, or user-provided hardware rated for overhead applications.
For three-wide horizontal clusters, connect each top cluster plate to a structural attachment point using an MRB-T1 Rigging Bar, at least one MHR-T1 Hoist Ring, or user-provided hardware rated for overhead applications approved by a qualified engineer.
